The single-shaft shredder is an optional piece of equipment in our PE film washing line reserved for lower grade films with higher levels of contamination. Unlike the plastic granulator that operates at high speeds, shredders in general operate at relatively low speeds allowing a greater leeway small pieces of rocks, glass, metals and other materials mingled into the plastic film bales that may otherwise easily damage a granulator.
Another benefit of slow rotation speed is that our single-shaft shredder, frequency controlled between 60-100 rotations per minute, is relatively quiet and produces little fines. The large vertical feeder can take in entire bales of LDPE / LLDPE films and can therefore take place of a debaler machine.
As the PE film bales enter our single-shaft shredder, a hydraulic assisted drawer pushes the material against the rotor where it will be continuously cut until it reaches the desired size. Size is controlled by a screen filter with holes that is fitted beneath the cutting chamber; The material will continue to be shredded until it is small enough to fall through.
As our single-shaft shredders are often times placed in front of the most demanding jobs, the frame and structure of our shredders use high-thickness sheets and tubular. The square knives are treatment strengthened and use only the highest quality SKD11 steel (D2 equivalent) to ensure against dulling. Depending the capacity you require, we offer a variety of standard single-shaft shredders for your choosing.

Our lead time for single pieces of equipment is 30 days from the signing of purchase contract. For custom orders such as complete washing lines, the lead time is between 60 – 90 days. Actual lead times will depend on the project’s complexity as well as our factory’s availability.
